Meridian tilts its back several degrees further than a standard armchair, enough to hold a full recline without a footstool. The frame is cut wide at the base for stability, then tapers toward the headrest.

It's upholstered as a single continuous piece rather than separate panels, so there's no seam across the shoulder line where the body rests longest.
